The Cooperative was establish in October, 2013 and was started as Teacher’s caring Christmas fund with 16 members and evolved over time to become Port Harcourt Flintstone Cooperative with over 350 members. We are registered with Rivers State Chamber of Commerce.
The cooperative was born out of a need by teachers to pull resources together to achieve individual projects. But it has grown beyond teaching to incorporate other civil servants and even those doing legitimate businesses in Rivers State as well as those working in the private sector.

Our Objectives are to Promote economic interests of members and customers by;
- The creation of funds to be lent to members for necessary productive purposes.
- Establishment of viable projects; for example; setting up industries, consumer shops, housing, farming projects.
- The provision of facilities for the accumulation of funds by members without such savings being removed from their control.
- To maximize member profits and returns on investments.
- To foster a sense of community and cooperation.
- To become a household name within and outside the country.
